But...
By staggering good luck, in loose change this week I’ve now got the Peter Rabbit & Squirrel Nutkin 50p coins. Anyone know what they’re worth?. Conflicting stuff I’ve seen so far suggest between £20 and £60 each!. That’ll make up for the bike.
My former boss collects them and has the rarest – the pagoda from Kew.

Uncirculated Coin
The 2016 Beatrix Potter 50p coins rank highly in the scarcity list, with Jemima Puddle-Duck and Squirrel Nutkin coming in at numbers 6 and 7 – based largely on the fact that not many people own. Final mintages are yet to be published but the Change Checker “Scarcity Index” scores each of the UK’s 54 circulation 50p coin designs out of 100 to determine their relative scarcity. Results suggest that Jemima Puddle-Duck is currently the 6 th most difficult coin to find in your change, with Squirrel Nutkin coming in close behind. The Tale Of Squirrel Nutkin Beatrix Potter
What do we mean by uncirculated quality? This is a coin created by The Royal Mint for circulation, but the coin never entered circulation. Your 50p coin is taken directly from the first sealed bag it was placed in after minting and put into a protective plastic coin wallet. Uncirculated coins are shiny, but will have a few contact marks where they have knocked against other coins in production and transit.
